still alive….. barely
turns out I am really bad at this blogging thing.
life here has been going at its normal pace, work, eat, sleep, repeat.
quite a bit to update, so will say it in point form to say time
-saw Atonement- really enjoyed it. I quite liked the theatricality of the soundtrack. I am sure it drove some insane.
-Finally got some of my art we got framed in September hung up. looks awesome. Makes me want to paint more.
-work promotion is “in the works”, management has told me the position is mine, but cannot make it official until the next level of management approves some things. my take is that if they put it off a bit longer, they will get a bigger year end bonus by saving the peanuts they would raise me. That and the stupidity that is internal politics, they need to ascertain if the store’s status has been raised from last year’s sales. If so someone from another area in the store will be joining the frame shop. and they dont want to say the position is taken, have someone get cranky and then come back a week (or in this case a month- grrr) and say the position is yours now
- the flu has hit the house. I curse the person that gave it to me. I was bed-ridden for 3 days, no meds would stay down for 2 of those, then I worked a day, and that sent me back to bed the last two days. its back to work tomorrow and I do not look forward to hit
- got a new bedspread, its a great change, and will hold me over nicely until I finally discover what I want to do with my room. Made curling up into a ball a little nicer.
